I am trying to find an equivalency chart from Vallejo/GW to Folk Art/Delta/Apple Barrel paints. I have found some: link – this is one from Foundry to GW link – and this is one from Vallejo to a number of others. I just can't find a chart from "one of the others" to Apple Barrel etc.! Does someone know of a place that has a chart like that?

I would recommend Delta Ceramcoat before Apple Barrel. |

Yeah, I like Delta more as well. But about the chart..can someone point me in the right direction?

It would help if the paint manufacturers could list the nearest pantone ref to their coulour. then we could compare one with another. |

No there does not seem to be, it is the Grail that many have looked for. I also advocate Ceramcoat use and have found many better choices in the mixes that others have tried. I suspect that the Vallejo's in the world would not contribute freely to make such a chart. I mean that if you paint 15mm the Delta is just fine. I would love to try it on a larger figure and see if I can do the Foundry style using the Delta…. Good luck though and probably our best bet would be to find some other standard to compare all the paints to,, (pantone???) |
