Thanks for the link. I like the human faction, especially the armored suits. I may try the game but I could also see these figures being used as rebel colonists to be pacified by SICON in my SST games. Like I mentioned in a previous topic, the light mech needs its guns moved higher up. btw- Can you make the game day on Saturday? |

I'm liking those aliens more and more
|

Oh, those old things
(-;) Was expecting Rackham's promised release of pix of the new and improved production paintjobs (which obviously may not be different from the ones above, only taken in the studio)

I saw a couple of 'production' stuff, reflecting the quality we'll suppose to have within the boxes
Ain't really impressed : it's clean, but that's all. |
mksiebler | 19 Sep 2006 9:41 a.m. PST |
Great, another cool game with a bunch of humans in nifty power armor fighting off an alien invasion of "Earth", and then taking to the stars to take the fight back to the enemy's "Hive", um, I mean, "Factory" world
;-) Cool suits, though. Supposedly (if my German holds) the smaller power suits' visors flip up to reveal the pilot. Later, Markus |

That powered auit, why does it remind me of SF3D? I still think the squating walker's chin turret and I use that term loosely doesn't look like it has a good field of fire. |

Me likey. Would put those on my gaming table. |
Guinny | 19 Sep 2006 11:25 a.m. PST |
Did anyone else spot the frame in the back of one of the photos? Gives me hope that they might be available like that so I don't have to trust to the pre-paints
|
Static Tyrant | 19 Sep 2006 3:59 p.m. PST |
Yes Guinny, they will be making unpainted versions available through the same retail stores as the prepainted sets – I've heard they won't even have to be a special direct order type deal, and will be distributed in the same way as the painted stuff – i.e. as normal stock. Presumably box sets of unassembled sprues. |

Avast, me hearties! No, that was yesterday
Anyway, here — finally — are the "definite production quality" pictures of the Damocles box set (that's the starter set for AT-43 in case someone isn't up to speed): link |

Thanks tnj. You know . . . I actually like those. If you follow the thread you find otu that the box content is exactly as shown in the photo, so you get two mechs and 17 soldiers and the mat, dice, terrain, etc, for $80 USD USD. Would someone "in the know" tell me just what scale these things are in? Based on my guess for the dice, I'm guessing those are 30mm bases on the foot troopers, but I can't figure out their height. |

Why??
OH WHY??!! Can't people bring out more stufflike this in 6mm? |
Penchour | 20 Sep 2006 1:17 a.m. PST |
SeattleGamer 'Would someone "in the know" tell me just what scale these things are in? Based on my guess for the dice, I'm guessing those are 30mm bases on the foot troopers, but I can't figure out their height.' Actualy about 30 mm, like usual Rackham stuff |
Barks1 | 20 Sep 2006 1:39 a.m. PST |
Am I right to think those are pre-painted? I like the powered suits and mechs! |
tnjrp | 20 Sep 2006 2:06 a.m. PST |
Barks1 20 Sep 2006 4:39 a.m. PST "Am I right to think those are pre-painted?" Umm
Yes! Although I should in all prudence mention that you can get them unpainted as well (at least that's what they said a few days back). |
Psychotic Storm | 20 Sep 2006 2:13 a.m. PST |
I fail to like them, if they were branded as alternative WW2 that they are, they would be nice but for science fiction they fail
.. |
Red5angel | 20 Sep 2006 3:15 a.m. PST |
"That powered auit, why does it remind me of SF3D?" I'm guessing that might be on purpose, and that's fine by me, I enjoy MaK and have some miniatures scratch built I think will go along with tis rather well! |
Goldwyrm | 20 Sep 2006 5:40 a.m. PST |
Thanks for the pricing info Seattle Gamer. I'd probably spend my $80 USD on unpainted versions of those personal power suits instead of the box game. Hopefully they'll be available that way when the game gets released. |
Red5angel | 20 Sep 2006 6:10 a.m. PST |
Judas Iscariot – because in 6mm these are mostly blobs
.. here's some more info: link
