I ordered a few items from Monolith back in February (Feb 23rd, 21 GBP), then later added to my order after Salute (June 7th, another 20 GBP). I've heard that Mr. Mussared over at Monolith has had some health problems, but I've only heard back from him a couple of times since the end of July, and not at all in the last 5 weeks
he's had my payments for several months now, and I haven't heard back after two phone calls (left messages on voicemail), and three emails. Anyone know a way to contact them other than through the email address and phone number listed on the Monolith website? He's always been helpful and friendly in the emails we have exchanged, and his company has a good reputation (AFAIK), but it's nearing the end of August now, and I think I'm not being impatient by asking for my stuff now, or at least for some sort of ETA on the items

You could try the yahoogroup: link Steve is a regular contributor and has been posting the last weeks. The group is mainly about the 40mm figures of Monolith. DJ |

I paid with Paypal. I've considered asking for my money back, but I don't WANT my money back, I want the items I ordered. I'll take the 41 GBP back if I don't have any other options, but ideally this will remind him to send me my stuff! I've thought that maybe the emails got sent to a spam folder, as my email is thru Yahoo, but I don't know how he missed the phone messages. As for the Yahoo group, thanks for the info. I'll look into it. |

Avoid Monolith like the plague. My company ordered from him and lost about 400 pounds. We never received the product, and we did as you did
we left a number of phone messages and e-mails, and all of them went unanswered. Our final result: we quit doing business with him and had to write off the loses, while chalking it up to experience. We know of several other companies in the US that had to do the same thing. Get your money back as quickly as you can while you can or otherwise you will end up like us without your product and without your money. We paid by credit card not paypal. TMP has other discussion forums on Monolith's business practises. Go into the back files and read them. They are informative and helpful. Good luck. |

I've never had a problem with Monolith. Steve has been nothing but kind and helpful to me. I have always received my orders within about ten days or so and I'm in the States. I got my latest order about a week ago and he even threw in a free un-released figure. Try contacting him through the yahoo group listed above. He posts there regularly. From what I understand, as of recently, Jim is now handling taking the orders and payment. I think they have put up an e-bay store as well to make it easier to order. |

I posted a heads up to this on the yahoogroup. Hopefully it can get resolved. Stacy |

Hitman, your name says it all. Legally if you spent that sort of money, paying by Credit Card with the protection in place with Credit Cards these days you would have gotten your money back no problems. Alxbates – keep trying, Steve is a great bloke – but he does an awful lot on his own. There may have been problems filling your order, or maybe he forgot. As a last resort, put a claim in through PayPal and they will help you negotiate to a satisfactory resolution. |

Steve just called by my workshop. I mentioned this one to him. As it happens he had the tracking info for that parcel with him: It went by Airsure, ref no LY 2743 8492 1GB. You should be able to check just where the parcel is by going to royalmail.com and inputting that tracking number. I wouldn't be surprised if the parcel has been held up by customs

Just checked that ref for myself: "Your item, posted on 16/08/06 with reference LY274384921GB has been passed to the overseas postal service for delivery in UNITED STATES OF AMERICA." Hope that helps. |

Thanks for your help Tony. It always pays to use a trackable method of postage – that way should this sort of thing happen instead of saying – well I posted it, we can all actually see where the package is – it has cleared customs, and is en route between NY JFK and Alaska. Alex ordered 2 metal figure codes that we have never advertised, or released, and that only exist on Master Moulds – I'm not even sure how he knew of their existance, because they hadn't even been previewed on our Yahoo group. All master moulds are kept in my posession – and all production casting is done in Nottingham – nothing unusual in keeping your archival moulds and production moulds seperate – lifts the burden of replacement should the worst happen and one set is destroyed. I usually visit Nottingham about 4 times a year, to collect re-orders, collect moulds, etc, so Alex knew it would take some time in getting the models – but earlier this year I broke my foot, so hadn't had the chance to get down – hence the delay. |

Hitman – I'll repeat here what I said last time you aired this: You need to check with whoever does your accounting – and you will find that it is you who owes me money – around £300.00 GBP for Statuary delivered to you at Cold Wars – and never paid for, even though you pretty much sold out of them there. And another £300.00 GBP for Church ruins which were supplied on a sale or return basis. You subsequently re-ordered the items, but never paid for the first sets. You recieved your last order minus a couple of later additions, which were held back awaiting a settlement of these earlier outstanding payments, which totalled around £600.00 GBP If your accountant is saying different things, then I suggest that you have a look at the relevant paperwork yourself. Failing that, I could list all transactions and orders from my own records here |

I'm curious what the outcome will be between Hitman and Manilito. There is always a lot of shouting and namecalling on TMP but you never hear who is right. The manufacturers always seems to be wrong but I doubt if that is really so. DJ |

Thanks for posting something, Steve. As I said in my initial post, you've always been friendly and helpful in the communications we've had. I also looked around in places like TMP, and saw lots of good comments about your customer service. I only posted here because I haven't heard back from you recently, and wanted to get some sort of ETA on the package. Thanks for posting the tracking info here. I did know that these were going to be custom casts of rarely-used moulds, that's why I've waited till now to say something publicly. I found out about them while randomly searching Ebay, I bought one of the figures, and the seller told me he'd purchased it from you at a convention. Thanks again, Steve! -Alex |

All I know is that I personally (and a lot of people I know) have always had near-perfect service from Steve. |
