Just buy Foundry Napoleonic marshals, and paint skulls and crossbones on their chapeaus. Allen |

Well, CC, the only pictures you have linked to show a naked bronze guy, faded to blue. Off hand, how about a naked Celt Gaesati? Lots of them around. Old Glory just came out with Napoleonic sailors, one pack for the Froggies, one for British/American. I would comment on the latter, but they were sold out today. The AWI guys I DID buy, have separate heads and hands, wearing the usual sailor slops. Nice, standard OG sculpting, as good as the latest stuff gets, which is very nice, indeed. |

Wouldn't Napoleonic era pirates look just like male leads in a Jane Austen novel? |

Ok. I could not find any details that will clear up that photo. However, here are some additional facts on that guy: link CC |

I don't know if the Lafitte photo here does the period any justice: imdb.com/title/tt0051436 If I remember correctly, his Master Gunner (Charles Boyer) used to dress like one of Napoleon's gunners, which is ironic since he once played Napoleon himself in an older movie. CC |

I used French Revolution figures. The tattered appearance made them appear as sailors and the civilian dandy's of the period pass for Lafitte and Pierre. Napoleonic naval crew for the American, Venezuelan, Mexican and Texas navies. |

I would think that a lot of the Foundry pirates as well as select figures from their Darkest Africa range would be suitable for 1814 and Jean Lafite. I've often thought that it would be fun to build a model of the house/fort at Barataria, complete with living room with its own gun ports. |

I use French Revolution, Napleonic French artillery in forage caps, Old Glory European sailors, and Colonel Travis for Lafitte and Pierre. For the U.S. Revenue Cutter Service I use NewLine, Britania, Old Glory, plus a few Jack Tars from the RAFM series. |
