I've got some miniatures from Copplestone and Em4, basically a fistfull of colonial marines. I think tiranyds and genestealers from GW are a good foe for these marines, but I don't know if exists another alternative more economic than GW.
Any idea?
Thank you in advance.

The Kryomek aliens would work well. Or maybe the Void/Urban War Korelon. The wormy looking ones, not the ones with human heads.

Mongoose's new Overseer bug for SST looks kinda Alien-esque. There may be more variations in the future.

Wait for the new release of "Horror Click". I've heard that are doing Alien vs. Predator this year.

Yeah, a box set is in the works for Horrorclix. The Aliens box set can be seen here:

I forget when it releases. Initially it's supposed to be a mailaway exclusive (through Wizkids Buy-It-By-The-Brick program), but they usually end up selling them to the public after the exclusive time period expires.

No images yet of the separate Predator box set.

That set in the link looks fantastic! Does anyone know if they intend to make the queen, face huggers and eggs? How about colonial marines?

Dragon Gunner, Wizkids only has a license for the Aliens vs. Predator movie, and I believe they only have a license to do the collector box sets, not to put the figures in a regular release.

Hints on the message boards suggest to me that the facehuggers will be cardboard pogs, since they would be pretty tiny even in this scale. No mention of a queen yet, although everyone there has been asking for one.

what scale is the AVP stuff, 35mm?

Are you looking for different or are you looking for cheaper?

If it's mainly the price, GW plastics are actually a pretty good deal. Especially given the large 2nd hand market.

You can't really go much lower than that, unless you find closeout sales or similar.

I really like the Urban War range, and it can be mixed with the GW stuff. And the Horrorclix range is very interesting.
Thank you everybody!
