I see rates for 15mm and 25mm on his site, but not 20mm. I'm looking for strictly wargame quality paintjobs. I'd ask him but he isn't answering his email these days. V/R Walt O'Hara |

20mm is listed as $1.30 USD for foot, $2.60 USD for mounted and $1.55 USD for camouflage! |

Walt, I assumed you are in the USA! |

But saying that, today I have an exam (I'm learning French) and I won't read my email for another 17 hours. Doh! |

Really don't want to be nasty – but because Reinforcementbypost did not answer my email and Fernando did instantly, I will give the second named enterprise a try (when I've got my figures ready). |
PC473RG | 20 Jun 2006 6:56 a.m. PST |
Walt, it is on the homepage, click on the pricing link and up pops all these little pictures. For some reason 20mm are represented by some fantasy figures! There is a 20mm plastic Revell German too. |

I saw that. It's listed as "collectible" quality (who makes 20mm fantasy, anyway?). I was looking for a price on WARGAME quality. This is a distinction that Fernando makes elsewhere so I assume it applies to 20mm. Walt |
PC473RG | 20 Jun 2006 10:13 a.m. PST |
Walt, I think that 'collectible' is his wargame quality, 'showcase' is the better quality. I have some of his work in my collection, it's very nice and at the price he charges I will be getting more. Phil |

I think i like the Battle Honors line but can't find a good page that sells them! I want pictures, so i can tell what the poses look like. Anyone know a site with pictures? Please tell me, and thank you. |

I have been hit by Da Bug (at long last :P) What I meant to say was: @WaltOHara I recently asked Fernando the same question. They replied saying that they do not advertise rates for 20mm "gaming quality" as the paint job would not look good. Nevertheless they offered to do it for $1.00 USD per (WWII) infantry figure. |

[Aside] A quick search reveals that "my" first comment was actually made by PrinceOfWalesOwnVolunteers in this thread TMP link Our posts also have the time stamp – 20 Jun 2006 12:02 p.m. PST. I see that the time stamp is displayed right above the box where I am typing the comments. Is this used when the post is "written" or does the server generate another stamp? [/Aside] |

>Really don't want to be nasty – but because >Reinforcementbypost did not answer my email and Fernando >did instantly, I will give the second named enterprise a >try (when I've got my figures ready). grenadier corporal, which emails? I've never had anything from you. Can you just check with me which address you are using? |
Chortle | 20 Jun 2006 8:41 p.m. PST |
Grenadier Corporal, I just looked back through the painting threads and see that you posted saying you couldn't mail me on 23 May 2006. I'm afraid I hadn't looked at that thread since my last post on it on 28th April, so I didn't see you hadn't been able to reach me. If I'm losing emails which people are sending me thats serious news! I'm sorry, that must be very frustrating for you. There are two email addresses for me (please replace a@t with @) 1. neil a@t modartis dot com (which resolves modartis a@t gmail.com) – the best one. 2. neil_kenneally a@t yahoo.com (yahoo is slow. prefer above) Did you use either of those? Has anyone else sent me an email and not had a reply? Oh beep! Neil |

>Really don't want to be nasty – but because >Reinforcementbypost did not answer my email and Fernando >did instantly, I will give the second named enterprise a >try (when I've got my figures ready). No problem. You said it politely. You must have thought I was a right bleeper for ignoring your email, and so thanks for your consideration. I've checked my yahoo mail SPAM to see if it might have been placed there by accident. That only goes back to 21/5/06 and is filled with offers to enlarge my breasts (for low low rates). Can you remember when you sent me mail? |

Right from the horse's mouth! (quote) >So there is only collector quality for 20mm and higher?? > >V/R > >Walt >Dear Walter >-No we have quoted you for wargamer quality for you. We can do it, but out >come will not be as good as collector. Rgds Sanath (end quote) Well, .30 extra isn't all that bad I suppose. Walt |

And I did, finally, hear from Fernando as well. Walt |

In order not to loose any chance of reinforcement: I've sent another email to neil@modartis.com. If this is lost again in the web – the world (okay at least the miniature world)will know that I've tried. I do appreciate the answers of Chortle – we all depend on those modern forms of communication. Even electronically transmitted letters can get lost – don't know how, but have to accept the fact. |
Chortle | 22 Jun 2006 4:40 a.m. PST |
Thanks for that Grenadier Corporal. I didn't get any mail from you, so I tried mailing myself at neil@modartis.com – again nothing! I've checked the mail forwarder at my site, which correctly points to where I get my mail at modartis@gmail.com If you are willing to email me here, there won't be any problem :) Now I have to make a news article to let everyone know my mail forwarder has been on the blink! |
Chortle | 22 Jun 2006 6:49 a.m. PST |
News article about my email problems submitted. Sorry to everyone who hasn't been able to reach me. I can always be contacted directly at modartis@gmail.com Its now Thursday 8:48pm in Bangladesh. The 'weekend' here is Friday. So I'll be back again at 8am Saturday morning. Regs, Neil |

Next chapter in "Message to Chortle": Now I've tried modartis@gmail.com. Hope this time the bits and bytes will do their work
But isn't patience one of the most important virtues of a modeller? |
Chortle | 24 Jun 2006 7:58 p.m. PST |
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! Got your email. Now replying. Your mail went to my SPAM folder for some reason.

As I've bothered the readers with my special problems I feel that I should end it with the remark that Neil ("Chortle") answered my email instantly now – after receiving it finally – and can justly claim as he did in the fourth entry of this topic. Thanks to TMP for making it possible. |

I do not mean to demean the internet providers of small, lesser developed countries (third world as they use to be called, is there a second world now), but I suspect when one does not get instant response from folks in those countires it is not due to their ignorning you, but to the state of their cyber infrastructure. I see little reason for folks to post disparaging remarks about companies until all other recourse has been attempted. |
