Hola.

I don't know of any stores, but enjoy the Gaudi architecture.

¡Hola!

- Llibreria Gigamesh, Ronda Sant Pere 53 (08010 Barcelona).

Nyc, didn't knew you understood Spanish, mate. I'm going to be in Ampurias, an important ruin of an old Greek and Roman city and in case you like art, it's also very close to Figueres, where Dalí lived and it's his museum.

Palafox:

It's hard not to live in NYC and not know some Spanish. I'm terrible at conversation but after working at an international law firm for a few years you learn to read a fair bit.

I was in Barcelona a few years ago, but never made it to Ampurias. It sounds beautiful. I love Spain and have been there several times. The first time I travelled from Paris to Madrid and then down to Algeciras and took the ferry to Morocco. It was a wonderful experience to see the changing landscape. I was an art history major so the museums in Madrid were very special to me.

Have a blast in Barcelona!

Just on an aside, my former colleague was from Barcelona and lived there his entire life. He was so Catelonian that when I asked him if he had any recommendations for my next trip to Madrid he wriggled up his nose and said, "I've never been to Madrid, why would I want to go there?" He was from a wealthy Catelonian family and had travelled all over the world, but not to Madrid. I thought that was very sad.
