My puddle jumper model has rolled off the assembly line. You can view some photos at my picture page:

There was some major screen-cap hunting needed to get some useful reference. You'd think that the PJ comes up all the time, right? It is a big part of the season 8 ender on SG-1, and is all over Atlantis. Not so much, as most scenes show the actors inside, or possibly emerging out the back, or even quick cg views ziping along. I'm happy with the lift off top and working ramp. No, it does not have the pop-out side pods. I am already working on plans for a Mark II, with some hull changes that I have in mind after playing with the prototype. Next, a time dialation device for inside. Heh, heh!

Your pictures must be popular. I tried the link and got a message saying the bandwidth had been exceeded………oh well I'll try later.

Couldn't see it last night. Can't see it now. Exceeded bandwidth.

Well, I got through and the pictures are great. Would love to play in one of the games you run.

Sorry for the problems, and thanks for trying. Stupid Geocities. I think if more than 2 people look at the site, it exceeds the bandwidth. They are just trying to make me buy more service. I need to find a better free posting site.

I seemed to get through – it looks great.

Is that wormhole in the stargate (first pic) photoshopped or part of the model? If part of the model, how'd you do that?

artslave26 May 2006 10:08 a.m. PST

It is a pratical effect: Bubble wrap (the tiny ones) emerging through a CD spindle hole. Now you know the ID of my stargates. Not quite to scale, as the ID is about 3 people high, and the prop used in the show is only 24 feet total, OD. The model available to buy from the UK is over-size too, so I can live with it.

Thanks.

Funny enough, I just tried to go back and look at your pic again and was denied b/c of bandwidth – FYI.

BTW, in a shameless bit of self-promotion, you can play in my "Lost Stargate" game at Historicon. The PJ is an important game element. Up to this point, it has been "cloaked" on the table. It was there, but invisable. I reduced the file sizes in my photo page. This may help depending how Geocities determine bandwidth limits. Daily, hourly? I put photos up at the Stargate yahoo group, but it requires membership so I mention it only to those inclined.
