If you could find 6mm WW1 German Army in Steel Helmets, they might work well for Imperial Army or Rebel Marines. |

Micro Machine AT-AT's would work in this scale. Maybe some of the GZG 6mm could pass as Stormtroopers? |

I was thinking abou this same project, and concluded the following: Micromachine Snowspeeders are somewhat close to 6mm. The AT-STs are too. The AT-ATs very obviously are more like 2mm scale. However, the ACTION FLEET AT-ATs, though sold with 1/72 scale figs, are, I think, pretty darn close to 6mm. So by combining regular Micro Machine Snowspeeders and AT-STs with Action Fleet AT-AT, I think you have most of the vehicles needed for Hoth. As for infantry, I had been meaning to ask around about that too, as I have no idea. The most defining detail for the rebels would be the flat-topped hats with goggles. Imperial Snowtroopers should have a great-coat like look. |

Old Epic Eldar Guardians with the tops of thier helmets snipped off work real well as Stormtroopers. |

Irregular has some knock-off figures. |

If you don't mind going for 10mm. Look for the old AMT Battle of Hoth Action Scene model kit. It comes with a bunch of inantry for both sides that measures in at 10mm. Also comes with a couple of AT-ATs, an AT-ST, some Laser Turrets, and other stuff all scaled for 10mm. There are currently a couple on e-bay- auction |

Flat-top hat with goggles? Might I suggest, and this may sound crazy, 6mm american Civil War figs. You won't have goggles, but painted in Hoth colors, etc, they would even have backpacks and waste coats. Look for skirmishing poses and you are set. |

Chris has it right. I picked up 2-3 of these from KayBee for @ $5.00 USD each. |

I wasn't thinking hoth BTW, sorry for not being more specific. I'll list some types: Stormtroopers Imperial Army/Navy troopers Rebel troopers (tantive IV [marines] and endor types) planetary militia types Clones Super/Regular battle droids Vehicles: Generic Speeders/tanks that could be used for rebel armoured units AT-AT/AT-ST's generic hover gunships generic air transports generic anti-tank/anti-air guns |

Maybe there is some Afrika Korps guys with flat top hats and googles? |

For your Endor Troops
go for WW2 German Fallschirmjagers. they wear smocks and have skull cap helmets. For Tantiv Marines, try either WW1 or WW2 German Troops. At this scale should matter, but WW1 German steel helmets were a bit closer to the Rebel Marine helmets. Planetary militia is pretty much take your pick. Imperial Army/Navy is the same choice as Tantiv, painted different colors. Clones might be well represented by some company's medieval armored knights with pole weapons. Cut the blades off the end and they will like they are hip firing like the Clone troopers seemd to like to do. Stormtroopers could be similarly represented. As could battle droids Both of the "troopers" can also be easily represented with some of GZG's Dirtside line. |

Adler miniatures Dark Star mid tech marines should work for rebel infantry. Don't know about storm troopers unless you want to try the armored maines. Dark Star available in US from Stone Mountain. DB |

If you are looking for the Mid-tech troops from Adler; I would order them from Adler in the UK, at least the officer/NCO and Support minis, as Stone Mountain does not carr them, nor do they have many of the support vehicles that Adler in the UK produces. |

I'll check out adler. I was thinking GZG, but they dont have too many pics on their site and I wanted tips from people who own some of the dirtside stuff. Thanks, Jim |

Hi Guys, I ended up going 10mm with my Star Wars
There wasn't a good selection in 6mm and it was much easier and cheaper to do it in 6mm
I have photos at this E-group: link Which is dedicated to playing Star Wars mini games in scales less than 25mm
Shabbat Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak. |
