Greetings all- I will be traveling to see family in Montreal in another week. Are there any game stores I should try to hit while I am there? thanks! |

Le Valet de Coeur might interest you. Biggest gaming store I've seen in Quebec or Ontario. It's got a lot of wargames, boardgames, rpgs and a nice miniature selection for a brick and mortar store. Very little historical (mostly micro armour), but a lot of fantasy and science fiction. levalet.com |

You might also want to check out Librairie Donjon (2 locations in Montreal). There is also a GW outlet downtown. |

There is three hobby shops in Montreal (2 Dongeon and the Valet D'Coeur), but they only sell fantasy stuff; no historical there. But they do have a good selection of Hobbies supplies (bases, flock, and the like). You won't find a lot of historical in Montreal; I can't tell you why, but Historical wargaming is not popular in Quebec. Here is the adresses of the two Dongeons in Montreal: - 10810 Lajeunesse (metro Henri-Bourassa, corner Henri-Bourassa) - 1312 De Maisonneuve est (5 minutes from Metro Beaudry) And the Adress of the Valet D'Coeur: 4408 St-Denis, Montréal (metro Mt-Royal, corner Mt-Royal) There is also a GW store in the Eaton Centre (the "underground city" of Montreal) |

Thanks everyone for the information! I managed to get to the GW store at a large mall – can't recall the name of the mall – Carrefore or something like that. Not really a big deal and I didn't expect much. Employees were nice – struck up a conversation without being pushy. Didn't buy anything. I was only looking for Specialist Games stuff since I can get WHFB, 40K, and LotR at a good discount already. Also got to the Valet D'Coeur. Pretty good sized place and a very cool shop. Whenever I end up back in Montreal, I will certainly go back there for a visit. No historical stuff to speak of, but worth the effort to find the place anyway. Picked up a few GW LotR blisters and Battlefleet Gothic blisters that were on sale. Bought a board game for my kids. Again, thanks for the information! |
