All Things Zombie is THE ZOmbie miniature game! Easy, fast playing and a heck of a lot of fun! It is available from Two Hour Wargames. No I didn't write ATZ, I'm just a huge fan! JT |

I'm a big fan of ATZ, too. There's a battle report from my first game here. TMP link There is an additional report in the files section of the THW yahoo group. Files/ Rod's Offerings/ Kenny. Same battle told from the viewpoint of one of the characters. The link takes you to the group home page. You may have to be a member to access the file. link Happy zombie gaming whatever rules you choose to use! Rod |

I've heard good things about ATZ and plan to pick it up from my local FLGS soon. By the way, I'm currently working on some zombie adventures and rules for Gutshot (Wild West skirmish game), if you're interested, and might be looking for a few playtesters in a month or two. I'll post a notice when we get to that point. |

Another vote for ATZ. I have to get with mmitchell one of these days at a con and have his Wild West Zombie game run next to my WWII zombie game ;-) Dave Lone Star Historical Miniatures lshm.net Millennium 9 Gaming Convention millenniumcon.com Drop by for a virtual visit!! |

I'm not familiar with ATZ, but would recommend checking Xtreme Zombie Hunter at grimeygames.com. It's zombie hunting with a twist, it's corporate sponsored TV show like Running Man with zombies. You can force your opponents to read their product placement plug, loosing an action at a critical time. |

yet another vote for THW's ATZ (sorry if this thread is beginning to sound like an advert
) |

The two hour wargames mechanics are brilliant – here's a vote for ATZ and all the other versions of CR2 there are – NUTS, FNG etc Rich J |

I really want to like ATZ. I really, really do. I bought mine THW and received excellent service. That being said I really have not come to love the Chain Reaction system as much as other people have. There are just too many darn reaction rolls to make to do anything. Shooting a gun requires in sight tests, to hit rolls, received fire tests on the target, and the list goes on. Also, some of the rules descriptions could have been a little clearer, but that was really not much of a problem. Our group suspended the rule where if you got doubles during the activation roll you only got to reload, etc. Between the three of us it got really old quick. Our group found that the chance not to move because of rolling over your rep was enough excitement. That being said, I absolutely love zombie placement. obviously dead rolls, weapon impact, and some other assorted rules. Right now I am in the process of coming up with my own rules, using ATZ as a base, for my games at home. Sorry for the long post. Point is I love the spirit of ATZ and THW, but I quibble some over the rules as written. Thanks all. |

I also like the look and feel of ATZ. Some of the stuff is simply too cool! However, the rules seem awful hard for me to get a handle on by simply reading them. Ed's a stand up kind of guy and the Yahoo group is frequented by some wonderful folks. But I may simply stay with Combat Zone and give up a little flavor for a more easily understandable set of rules to use for my Zombie and near future style games. Thanks, John |

Heavily house-ruling a commercial rules set ?!?? Who among us would do such a thing ?? *whistles* ;-P Dave |

You guys don't know how guilty I feel about modifying ATz. |

ATZ seems to be pretty damm cool and the battle report that was posted up here sounded great fun. There are a few freebies on the net as well but ATZ sounds like it offers more than they do. (Wish it came in a coverless version though ) |

"(Wish it came in a coverless version though )" Ha! The pdf version may have a seperate cover page. And if not, you could always just not print the cover. The book is open to the quick reference pages during the game. Honestly it grew on me. Reminded me of those old Otis drawings in the D&D modules. Those illustrations are indirectly responsible for my sculpting career. When I was in tenth grade I looked at them and thought, "Damn. I can draw better than that." Switched from French classes to art the next year. And I was on that proverbial slippery slope. Rod |

I guess I could replace it with 'boy in central park with hand grenade' and pop the title over that pic. picture |

Deathwing, John Leahy – Come on over tothe THW Yahoo Group and I can address any questions directly. Yes, sometimes THW is hard to get the first time out, but if I or others well versed on the group can help we'd love to. Thanks, Ed |

"I guess I could replace it with 'boy in central park with hand grenade' and pop the title over that pic." Now that is a great image. |

I highly recommend ATZ. It's great for individual games or campaign style play, and even plays well solo. For a somewhat more beer-and-pretzels approach, I also highly recommend Xtreme Zombie Hunter. Takes itself less seriously, and is no less fun. For a much less serious minis game that comes with its own zombies, I recommend ZOMBIES!!! from Twilight Creations. |

Look up dianne arbus on google images Rod. She is my all time fave artist. Excellent subject matter and a great eye for picking the right shot. |

You could also try out Grimey Games' X-treme Zombie Hunter. It's like Nascar meets Zombie hunting on reality t.v. You get picked up by sponsors for using their equipment (guns, scopes, ammo, etc.) and have to do 30-second plugs during the hunts. It really makes the game a riot. Check it out at: grimeygames.com |

for a more simple set of rules you could use Shockforce. |

If you've got Combat Zone, that's another option (as others have mentioned above). Also, there's an article on zombie fighting on the Combat Zone Chronicles netpage. |

I cant get into ATZ, Tried but just doesn`t gel for me sorry guys. I think it is the reaction rolls I find confusing with so many for all types of incidents. The Campaign and mechanics for generating the game are fantastic. What I have doen is Take the parts I like and based on those worked them into the free rules of the Planned Movement Productions The Dead will Walk. I also like Close Comat so have taken aspects of that for my games |

I'll toss my hat in for ATZ as well. I modify it as well, with no remorse
I speed up the encounter process using pre generated cards, enter a building, pull a card and see what you find. I have read a coupel of XZH reports, looks like fun. Why not get both? |
