Is this too tall an order to fill?

I am looking for LARGE (Heroic) 30+mm Orc or Half Orc CAVALRY (yes, as in HORSES).
Furthermore, I want them with Turkish or Mongol type helmets and armor, even if very crude.

Am I asking too much? Does this even exist?

You may want to try Oglah Kahn and his wolf boys from GW mixed with plastic horses. They were hobgoblins but aren't really that different from Orcs and they are wearing the Mongols style armour and clothing.

I'm sure you could mount them on horses instead of their wolves with a little work.

Paint some Mongols/Turks green.

Get some Chronopia Blackblood Riders. They're on this gian exotic horse thing with a long neck, but they're everything else you mentioned – Turkomen orks.

The Chronopia Blackblood Orc cavalry are called Kutara Lancers. At a minimum the rider can be used on a different mount.

I was going to suggest the Blackblood figs from Chronopia as well. I was JUST looking at them last night in the old rulebook so they sprung immediately to mind. Here's a picture— link

I'd recommend the Blackblood cavalry, too.

Hmmm! Caribe, have you been reading the Lost Regiment book series by chance? The type of Orcish troops you are looking for sounds very much like the enemy of that excellent series. I would also second the Chronopia Black Blood line of figures. You can most likely find them for a great price on ebay.

Whitemanticore,

You read my mind!!!

I was even thinking of getting some of the Ebob cavalry and making some modifications. Since this will be a graduation gift to a young man in the family who happens to be crazy about Forstchen's "Lost Regiment" ("Rally Cry") series, I am just checking all available options at this point.

Fingers crossed.

Summary:

Basically, giant ape-like horse archers against puny humans (medievals and ACW) who are trying to stay off the menu.
