I cast them from the PA molds and painted them.
What do you guys think?

Photos taken by Pzgeneral.

It's giving me this message: "The File You Are Looking For Is Inaccessible. Please sign in and try again or check with the owner of the file." It's possible the album isn't set for public viewing (or Yahoo is doing something odd).

They need more skullz. And the swords should be about 250% bigger. But otherwise very nice.

Looking good! How easy are the PA molds to use?

They look very nice. Are they true 25's?

mrwigglesworth10 Feb 2006 2:10 p.m. PST

They are 32mm.
My dad cast bullets and sinkers, so helped me on my first time.
It was fun and easy.
Only had one glich, a shield wouol not fill everytime.
I cut a 1mm trench at the top and now it fills all the time.
I used PA model metal and cheaper metal.
The model metal came out better for the fine details.

Nice, so what are they officially called? They remind me very much of how I would expect the men of Gondor to look.

mrwigglesworth10 Feb 2006 2:26 p.m. PST

They are called "32mm Mailed High Elves"

These look great. You did all this in less than a week? You work fast. They look superb.

I received them on Monday. Cast them and primed them on Tuesday. Painted and based seven of them on Wednesday. Pzgeneral took the pictures of them on Thursday. Uploaded the pics today.
I have another eleven 90% finished today.
You get about 17 miniatures per pound of metal.
P.S. it helps that I am laid off at the moment.

Really nice. It would be great that already casted miniatures like these were available for people like me -who don't dare to get involved in castings :-S

Another compliment on jobs well done. They look very nice.

Dan, great job! The necessity to "dig" a channel to allow air to escape is quite common.

I gotta say that these look pretty sharp! But I wonder how they 'measure up' so to speak against some other figure ranges. Does anyone have a side-by-side comaprison?

WarWizard11 Feb 2006 4:21 a.m. PST

Excellent work and photos. Very well done! "250%" bigger swords? I guess I'm from the "realistic" looking swords camp. I like them the way they are.

Hey these look really good! Are they compatible (size wise) with Mithril miniatures? They have the same style and look.
