I'm a fan of the Quality Castings/Battle Honors vehicles. I've never seen a Quick Reaction Force vehicle close up. How do these two brands compare? I'm primarily interested in German and Russian vehicles.

Thanks,
Kevin.

They are pretty good matches, size-wise. Quality is pretty even for QC vehicles, although the production quality is a bit lower than the days when they were a free-standing company. The quality of QRF stuff is mixed, with some of the older stuff being acceptable but not great, while some of the newer stuff (e.g., T26s) is quite good.

Given the choice, I'd generally go with QC, but I actually prefer some of the QRF stuff for individual cases (like the above-mentioned T26s).

What Mark said. I would tend to be cautious of mixing models of the same vehicle from both companies. For example, QC's French Laffly trucks are noticeably longer than QRFs; if one didn't pick one or the other (and both are very acceptable models), they would look odd together. But then, I can't compare their Germans and Russians; I tend to buy from both companies the nationalities and unique vehicles that others don't make.

Anything new from QRF is excellent. I've seen it on the shelf with my own eyes. Don't know about the older stuff though.

There are only a few of the very older pieces left now. The BA10 and Tetrach being 2, both of which are being replaced now.

They are now closer in price than they were a few years ago. As a store we carry the BH/QC, but I often see the QRF at conventions in the South.

Both Little Wars out of Houston and (I think that) Wargames Inc out of West Va stock the QRF range.

Wargames are our distributor for QRF, Little Wars have some stock and are our distributor for Feudal Castings and Freikorps.

QRF can be ordered through either – we send regular shipments to both.

I believe Wargames also supply other stores, including Brookhurst. Larry sis more than happy to get QRF in for you.
