Congratulations to John for his latest additions to the Eureka Conquistadore range, your nicest work to date. I just picked up some of the new arquebusiers yesterday. Eight new poses, mixture of head gear clothing, with some judicious head swaps the range is immense ( well at least 64 if my math is worth anything). There are also some more mounted figures, including a mounted arquebusier and some rather nice conquistadores kneeling in shirt sleeves, hands bound ready to be dispatched by Inca/Aztec captors. Exquisite stuff.

Nic showed me a horse barded in padded cotton armour for use by Portuguese, who he assures me are next in line.

They also have some more Tupi variants, differnet hairstyles some with some rudimentary equipment etc. All in all a very good start to the new year.

If you haven't seen the Eureka stuff you really do owe it to yourselves.

(and no I'm not on the Eureka payroll, just a happy customer)

I would love to see some pictures of the new stuff!

Pictures will be some while coming, sorry. We need to get production moulds made and the figures into the release schedule. It will be close to mid year before we have them released.

Whatever happened to the Mayans?

How are they size wise compared with Foundry?

Lowtardog14 Jan 2006 4:37 a.m. PST

legatushedlius, All previous reports say they fit spot on with Foundry and they are very nice figures which attestations will no doubt come in.

Sorry Nic for stealing your thunder and putting you under the pump. Just thought folk should know of your further triumphs.

Size match for Foundry yes. The Tupi by a different sculptor are somewhat smaller, but doubtful that will be an issue as it's unlikely you will base them together.

i saw this range used by GW for a lizardman scene. If they match size with GW they should with foundry.

Personally im just about to order some foundry for conquistadors. Ill perhaps by the attack dogs from eureka range but without colour pics i find it hard to compare so im sticking with foundry.

I only have the Eureka mounted Conquistadors and their wardogs and dog handler. They are awesome and fit perfectly with my Foundry figures. I also have the Mixtec/Zapotec Priest who is wearing the "skin suit". I must say that that figure is probably the coolest 28mm figure every made! (hyperbole alert)

Hi Blucher (nice handle BTW)

My Conquistadors are mostly Foundry with the Eureka figures mentioned above. I also have the GW pike units and the x-bowmen with command. They all match very well given the over the top plumage of the GW figurines. You will need some mounted Conquistadors and I heartily can recommend the Eurekas.
