I am currently painting/organizing some WSS 25mm, and I had a few questions about battalion guns/light artillery – please let me know if I am making any errors here in my assumptions:
- English and Scottish battalion guns were typically of the "galloper" style, with a split trail, unlike Continental ones – this may also have been true of Dutch guns in English service
- British and French carriages were painted red with black fittings
- Dutch and Prussian battalion guns were pained blue
- Imperial (Austrian) gun carriages were yellow-ochre, as later
- Bavarian light arty carriages were light blue or blue-grey
- The Danes didn't use battalion guns
Most sources here are the Condray pamphlets. Can anyone spot any obvious errors here.
Many thanks!
