Hi, Does anyone know who carries these guys or reasonable proxies for the heavy inf and elephants? John |

Look at Irregular for their "Seljuk elephant" in their Crusades range. It is perfect as a Ghaznavid elephant. It is armored, with lots of drapes, and has Turkish looking mahout and fighting crew sitting astride. Irregular also has the heavy infantry, but they are really "true 25mm". Irregular's Crusades are 20 years old, unless they have updated them. Back in the day, it was common to say "They look pretty bad as nude lead, but paint up to great armies." That is a left handed compliment to be sure, but very true. |

First John: OFM Johns's comments about Irregular are spot on. However, their Seljuk elephant draws praise as an excellent kit even in the nude. Rob |

I have always liked Irregular miniatures. They have a certain "attitude" to them that I rather like. I have used several of their figures in my 28mm armies, and the cavalry mixes fine with the other manufacturers stuff. I am seriously considering them, and my next purchase may be a Tibetan Army from Irregular Miniatures

Irregular are gradually updating their ranges to be closer in size to "modern 25's " or 28's. Unfortunately in the process some of them have lost a lot of the character that made them so usable in the past
