Some I was glad to dump, but mortgage and food needs came first.

In chronological order.

My Trojan War setup. Trojans and Achaeans. I'm sure now I could have come up with rules I like better than WRG and its clones.

Plains of Abraham French and British.

Ireland 1920.

Your regrets?

None.

Everything I sold was replaced by something I wanted more.

It may well be that I would regret not selling more, but by that time I will be beyond caring about anything.

One 2500-point, three 2000-point, and two 1500-point Warmaster armies. All figs either OOP or insanely expensive now.

None.

It's more that I regret not purchasing certain games/models in the past.

Warmaster was a good example— when they dropped the game, the figures got clearanced everywhere. Now you can't find ‘em for less than a king's ransom. There is an STL not-Warmaster line out there, so it's not completely out of reach— just not cheap.

Other things I regrettably missed:

— Not buying more Star Trek Micro-Machines.
— Passing on Man O' War
— Not securing the family copy of Broadsides
— The original HeroQuest (now assuaged by new release)
— Divine Right (1979). A new edition was kickstarted in 2024, but apparently is all sold out OR never even reached some backers at all. I swear, this game is CURSED in the reproduction realm.

I regret selling my old school 40K Rogue Trader armies, genestealer cult, chaos marines. No longer play 40K, but would use them for other games now.

Oddly, "sold off" inspires fewer regrets than "disappeared under mysterious circumstances" which has happened right along.

1) Not an army as such, but a clearing out under financial stress in the early 80's cost me two battalions of 30mm Prussian Napoloenic elites. Actually, the whole army went, along with Spanish, Swedes and several others. I eventually rebuilt the Prussians, but I was never as happy with the replacements for those two battalions.

2) 6mm Franco-Prussians. If I'd been thinking more clearly, I'd have kept, possibly rebased and changed rules instead.

3) 6mm SYW, if I sold them. They're certainly gone (and rebuilt) but I don't remember selling them. Might have disappeared in the scramble when my father died and the house was sold.

4) 6mm WW2. Those I did sell when we were hard up, but the price was derisory and the later rebuilding difficult and cost far more than I received for the armies.

A VERY small fraction of all the stuff I still have, and an even smaller fraction of all the stuff I've sold.
