I think one of the fun aspects of historical wargaming is its all encompassing nature as a hobby, with facets we are able to enjoy whatever we are doing or where ever we are. One aspect is of course exploring historical sights, and Le Touquet on the Channel Coast of Picardy, France, offers such opportunities in spades as well as its glorious countryside and cuisine.
During a recent stay we explored several places, that I'm covering in a series of posts, and in this one I have focussed on some of the WWII history associated with Le Touquet plus an expedition to visit the nearby Hundred Years' War battlefield of Crecy.
