Why "unique"? Because, as far as I am aware — and I have already reconstructed the Franchi, Ferrari and Borromeo regiments — this is the only regiment from the Duchy of Milan that did not wear a white uniform, at least during the sieges of Ivrea and Vercelli in 1704, where it suffered very heavy losses.

The uniform itself is genuinely striking, and represents one of the last surviving examples of the old Spanish tradition of "coloured regiments".

Dear Shagnasty, I hope you will enjoy even more my next work.I spent some days in deep reseaches on uniforms and regiments of Spanish Army in Duchy of Milan period 1701 – 1707. I found details I never thought I could get. Even too many. Now I am trying to put together all info starting with 1 (out of ten) Walloon Regiment that served the Spanish army that by the way was much bigger of what people think, and really, really interesting with continuing changhing of uniforms. Colours are really nice as well. I am going to publish one Regiment (I think Ceretani) as a sample than proceed with info about the other 9 rgt in the booklet.
