"Adults are buying more toys than kids!" Topic

As a man of 61 (psychologically and physiologically classified as an ), my purchasing of "toys" began around 1984-85 when, as a much younger and more naïve man, I first bought some packs of the old leaded Ral Partha 25mm Normans and Saxons miniatures from a local comic book shop after watching Monty Python and the Holy Grail on my local PBS station one night.

Now, once I pay my monthly bills, purchase food, buy my medications, and anything else that needs my attention, then, if there's any money left, I might roam the toy aisle at the local WalMart to see if there's anything that piques my interest. I pretty much look for items that can be used for 25/28mm miniatures, either historical, "weird war", or sci-fi (Star Wars, Star Trek, etc.).

So DON'T tell me that I haven't grown up!

I was going with adults have always bought more, for children, but that wasn't the full line.

I agree with doing that hunting, but more likely in a thift store. Low prices, and usually a good charity. Win win.

Now, nothing in the stuff they were suggesting looked faintly useful.
