My mate and I have set up Lauffeld, one of the scenarios from Charles S Grant's WARGAMING IN HISTORY VOLUME 2, a much recommended series if you want WAS/WSS/SYW scenarios. We've shrunk the table by 1/3, as my figures are 18mm, not the 30mm Spencer Smith and Minden figures Grant uses. Below is a photo of the initial setup- the Allies (Austrian, British and Hannoverians) against a mainly French force, with a couple of ReichsArmee units to make up the numbers. The Allies are at the top of the board, the French at the bottom. The hills are polystyrene foam, cut to fit the scenario map, the figures are all Eureka 18mm, and the buildings were all scratch built by another mate. Bill's managing the French and I have the Allies. The opening barrages should start next week.
