The shipyards continue to expanding the Argentine Navy. Most recently four 1/3000th scale destroyers have been seen departing Puerto Belgrano, no doubt to conduct manoeuvres. With inflation rising the ruling Junta is rumoured to be contemplating a short war with Chile – this could provide a valuable distraction for the people of Argentina. Then there are the Las Malvinas which could be seized without too much risk. For a few photos and a potted history of the destroyers be sure and visit my blog for this week's update.
