The Seven Years War Association is excited to announce big changes for our upcoming convention (formerly known only as the Seven Years War Convention). First, this year we will be changing locations to our former venue in South Bend Indiana north of the toll road. The Wingate by Windham hosted us from 2015 into the pandemic and we're looking forward to getting back to the cozy environment it provided along with better room rates and easy parking for all. The hotel has seen a remodeling of its ballroom and restaurant with the restaurant under new ownership (now called Jay's II Lounge) and after visiting last spring I was quite impressed.

Next, the date will be a little earlier than recent years on March 18 – 20, 2027. We've had to consider Easter and other major tabletop wargaming conventions in the Midwest (Adepticon falls in April this year). The Saturday evening banquet will be returning with our most esteemed guest Jack Gill who will speak on the Confederation of the Rhine. This brings up the biggest change of all which is our expanded timeline – and new name (MusketCon); as many realize, the hobby is changing and we must cultivate new attendees thus the widened scope of 1600 to 1815 will offer anyone with pike and shot or Napoleonic armies an opportunity to meet our veteran 18th century devotees. But fear not, as we will still provide enough figures donning tricornes to satisfy even the most ardent Prussophile.

A wide array of dealers is already committed to attend. Admission for the weekend is $45 USD and dealer tables will cost $30 USD each. Additional details about the event and details about tickets for the banquet and talk will be forthcoming. Please book your rooms as soon as possible as last year rooms ran short due to events in the wider South Bend Area.

The direct phone for the Wingate South Bend: 1 – 574 – 318 – 9870

The best thing to do is simply call the above number and tell them you're with the Seven Years War. Room rates are $100 USD or $110 USD per night (depending on your choice) which is a significant savings compared with recent years in the downtown area.

link for online booking – link Website and SYW Journal sevenyearswarassn.org

New Website – musketcon.com

Not a bad move. Would love to attend but it depends on transportation cost.
