Over the weekend and into Monday, the website was running slower and slower. Server guys did something to fix this. Unfortunately, a secondary problem has occurred with the locking of some databases. This has resulted in some members not being able to sign in. The lock situation has now been tied to an indexing bug. The next step is to see if the nightly maintenance routines can fix the problem. (Fingers crossed) If not, I will have to try stronger medicine (shudder). |
