"Donald Trump's new Space Force uniform is inspired by the outfits from a film that draws on Nazi aesthetics.
The US president published a mock-up of the new outfits, which feature dark peaked caps and leather boots, and claimed they were derived from the uniforms in Starship Troopers. However, the 1997 film explicitly draws on the Nazi imagery and was described by Paul Verhoeven, its director, as an "ironic" vision of a "fascist utopia"…"
