It's been a funny week. Ocular Shingles (on my forehead and around my eye) has meant painting is a massive no-no as to avoid any unnecessary scarification- a position that ill finds me as I love painting! Being currently unwise to scratch my very itchy and painful forehead or eye, I was luckily able to continue to scratch the wargaming itch by getting to the club, hat gracing my head, in the event anyone decided to lick my forehead! Joke….. sort of!

OK, Republican Romans vs Seleucids Part 2!

If you are interested, you probably have Trigeminofacial Supraorbital Shingles, otherwise known as Herpes Zoster Ophthalmicus. It usually spreads along the facial nerve route, finishing somewhere on your scalp. Keep washing your hands until the lesions have dried up to prevent spread.
Lovely looking game there!

Thanks guys.

I've been to see the GP (doc) and an Ophthalmologist and there's apparently no nerve damage in my eye. A huge relief to say the least. I cannot paint as I cannot wear my Optivisor without risking scarification of my forehead so I'm stuck until it clears up.

I'm keeping my hands and forehead clean. I don't fancy a secondary infection on top of all of this.:)
