I have been messing around with a campaign system for the American War of Independence, published by Real Time Wargames, which has seen me adapt the paper based game to a digital version on Cyberboard, whilst tailoring my own scale of figures and preferred tabletop rules to align with the actions the system generates.
If like me, these rules and the chaps who produce them are new to you, with them having an extensive catalogue for other themes and eras, and you are interested in campaign systems to provide narrative based tabletop games, then you might find my post provides some ideas on using them for your own games.
