The Spartan army would be swallowed by the Legions. There simply weren't enough actual Spartan warriors to ever have a chance. Rome would just keep sending Legions.

Yes the Romans would just overwhelm Sparta through sheer numbers.

I'm not even convinced that the Romans would need superior numbers.

Since the manipular formation was specifically designed to overcome the phalanx, I doubt there would be much of a contest.

Haven't read the link, don't really need to. Easily mighty Rome, who duked it out with Carthage and Macedonia at THEIR primes and crushed them.

None of the Greek states or leagues were able to take on Rome and win, so who thinks Sparta could? The largest army they ever levied only had 10,000 hoplites.

I believe Rome and Sparta fought a very brief small-scale war late in the day for Sparta, when the tyrant Nabis was in charge and long after the agoge and dyarchy were gone. It didn't last long and Sparta was not triumphant.

Roman Policy™️ was to lose the first two campaigns badly, and then come back and stomp the surviving Enemy flat. Welcome to the Roman Empire!
The purpose was to get rid of dumb Consuls.

PS: Sparta couldn't beat Macedonia in several big engagements, and Rome consistently beat Macedonia -- so the math is easy.
