Unbelievable

Imagine dropping 5 Billion of hardware to the Nazis in WWII

Question for those in the know:how are they getting ammo? I know they were gifted some but I would think ak ammo would be more available than .223. That being my thought would they stop using US weapons for lack of ammo at some point? Or are arms suppliers able to provide that to them considsring rheir finances. A side question, will the equipment get dumped as maintenance and parts dry up, like the US jets Iran got under the Shah? I've seen footage of small afghan shops making guns but what about ammo?

As far as ammo goes, I'll say this. They will scrounge up every expended case, replace the primer, put in some gun powder, stick on a new bullet. The case may or may not be cleaned and for a bullet they might just pour lead in a mold or get a bright and shiny new one from some place that makes them. It might not be high quality nor accurate, but it will usually fire. The real question is, will they perform the needed cleanings the rifle needs.
