"The diorama "Tank Station 1917" depicts a scene from the autumn of 1917 on the Western Front during World War I. Gunter Daßler created this diorama.

It shows the loading of military trucks and tanks of the German Army. While new troops and supplies are being transported to the front, the wounded and killed are returning to the rear. The resulting chaos on the platforms of this small station is considerable. Despite the wealth of detail, the diorama does not appear cluttered."
