"The Pledge August 2026" Topic

I've been battling the urge to buy and as I came to the end of the month was glad I had. August is another month I rarely get anything painted but these 8 figures were just close enough that I could finish them off in time.

I'm working out which projects need figures and how many to plan painting for the remainder of the year. Some need a dozen others need several dozen and a few don't need any. Many of the projects I already have the figures for but two or three will need a fair amount.

I placed what will probably be my last big order of the year. It arrived at the sorting center here in Colorado Springs, spent four days sitting around with its thumb in its navel, then went to Nashville. After Nashville, it went to Avondale, Arizona, then Phoenix, and finally back to my mailbox last Saturday, just when I was starting to think it might roll over into being a September delivery.

I'm +2 for the year as far as painting versus purchases. The sales are the main factor in reducing my lead mountain thus far.
