I'm looking to contact Barry M / SoloGeneral. I recently found him on YouTube but can't get on his website (fightyourownbattles.co.uk) for the life of me. I tried different browsers/settings/computers, turned off forced http to https, and still no luck. Anyway, I'd like to get the rules and chat. Thanks much! |

I am assuming that 404 error isn't fixable of anything on your end. Took a look at the site via the Wayback but I can't figure out the Download page to see if it might be available even if the home page is broken. I tried hunting Heroes All in case there might be a connection to be exploited. No joy. Pity, I had heard rumors back in the day, but had plenty of opponents. Now that I have seen more explanations, and more need of solo play, it is intriguing. Doug |

Doug, Thanks for checking those other options. Best I can tell is that it's an http site and something (server-side?) is redirecting to https, which probably doesn't exist. I'll keep checking. I may try to reach out on YouTube if I don't see anything here in a couple days. Cort |

A 404 error means "Page not found". The URL is pointing to a web page that does not exist. Nothing to do with HTTP or HTTPS. |

Hi, MajorB - I appreciate the help but I'm pretty sure it's possible to have a 404 on one but not the other due to a bad folder path/root. The reason I kept zeroing in on https is that everything I've found suggests the site is http only and still functional, but I keep being redirected to https which is not functional. I completely agree it's beyond my power at this point. Thanks for the help and for confirming it's not operator error. |

It is the browser that is forcing https. Even if you prepend "http://" to the URL it still resolves to https:/ The only fix for this is for the web site to accept https:/ and for the index page at the URL to be available. On further checking it seems the domain "fightyourownbattles.co.uk" is no longer active. So that's why you cannot access it. It doesn't exist.
