This story is from the 01 September, 1931 issue of Adventure Magazine. It's another tale from Georges Surdez set in Morocco and features a personality clash between a veteran Legion "clown" whose antics in his new assignment fail, for the first time, to amuse his commanding officer, Legion Captain (Sorval). When his usual methods for standing out among his peers via pranks and bringing attention to himself fails, Legionnaire Corbu deserts and together with a small band of French military prisoners he starts a mini revolt/crime spree in the hills of northern Morocco… Mon Legionnaire: link |
