I am currently painting a Seven Years' War units from Prince Ferdinand of Brunswick's combined German/British armies. I have good information for just about everything except the uniforms worn by Hanover generals. Were they identical to British general officers' red coats faced blue, or something else? Thanks for your help. |

There's no known regulations for the uniforms of the Hannoverian generals, DW. If you look at the Kronoskaf pages for the army ( link ) you'll see that the section for the Etats General is marked "n/a". However, in the personalities section the portraits show the generals wearing regimental uniform with plenty of gold braid, much as Prussian generals did. There's a good portait of Sporcken at link .
