While researching the Ruspoli Regiment, I came across a battle—or perhaps more accurately an engagement—between the regiment and Imperial forces. We are dealing with only a few thousand men, with no cavalry on either side, making it an ideal scenario for wargaming.

It is also an engagement that has been almost completely forgotten. For the first time, I am presenting both a reconstruction of the battlefield map and an order of battle for the forces involved.
