As promised, I have also prepared a post on the other regiment that was requested, namely the Ruspoli Regiment. This is a unit for which I have managed to recover a particularly rich body of information. Today I only had time to prepare this first part. The account of its operations is still missing, as are the uniforms of the officers and drummers, which were both particularly distinctive. I must admit that this has been a very enjoyable piece of research, and I hope you will find it interesting. Moreover, as soon as I have completed the post, I will highlight the engagement near Ferrara, which would make an excellent scenario using relatively few figures: approximately 900 Papal troops against 2,500 Imperial troops. |

Yes, finally someone else who is interested in the Papal Army during the WSS. There are two excellent books available on Amazon if anyone is interested in this period. link link I also have some other information that I'd be happy to send anyone who is interested.
