I recently acquired a copy of 'Battle Tactics of the American Revolution' by Robbie MacNiven and illustrated by Adam Hook, and have put together a review of the book with my own thoughts on its contents for those interested in getting a copy.

Thank you so much for your extensive, detailed review. I had just gotten through With Zeal and Bayonet after reading Alexander Burns' Infantry in Battle 1733-17833. I found both books eye opening. I am an old man (79) so I very much appreciate the new scholarship of a younger generation. Again your review has been of trendous help for me. H

Great write-up. It seems the American dictionary definition of massacre is when the casualties are extremely, if not absolutely, one-sided.

Hi chaps, thanks for your comments, and glad you enjoyed the review.

Ferd45231 Thank you for the reminder, in that I have the Burn's book on my Helion wish list so I must get hold of a copy.

BillyNM – Yes you make a good point re the American dictionary, highlighting once again that Americans and Brits are indeed two people separated by a common language.

Cheers
JJ
