Two of us got together for a day of TCR. Me and Eric.
Most if the forces in TCR have a mixture of auxiliary, legionary and praetorian bases in various proportions. Some forces have more of particular types lang with special attributes for various forces.
The forces are all human and /or botic.
The only alien forms are the "creepers" . They are pack animals who bite and claw. They do not have opposable thumbs to operate their own guns and shoes.

In game 1 Eric used a creeper force. I used an authority (community policing) force. I was attacking using the authority force.
I shot loads of creepers but they kept coming back.
Instead of getting on with destroying the objectives I got sidetracked into carrying out mass slaughter on the creepers. The Creepers have 7 packs. Only the complete destruction of a pack stops it getting more creepers to join.
Anyway I earned some points by destroying some packs but destroyed no objectives. A big loss for me.

In game 2 Eric used creepers again but attacked. They destroyed 4 out of 6 objectives. a good win for the creepers but my chaps destroyed quite a lot by using mines.

Game 3. Eric brought on a company force all of whom were Praetorians. Praetorians have deflection ability, mines, blockers and move very easily. The downside is that 5 of them constitute a whole force. My trop sued a quantity of mines. These homed in and killed 3 praetorians of Eric's (disaster). The result was a good victory for my enforcement force.

Game 4. A head on classical smash. A variety of base types. My force lost in the and as my high value objectives got destroyed.

Game 5. Oh dear. Got shot to bits. My blockers all failed. Argh.

Great games. all about 1.5 hours per game.

TCR is a great game. Players can choose their force, their scenery and the scenario set up. The rules can be easily memorised. Thanks to Eric for his day.
