For the life of me, I cannot understand why Rogers is the patron saint of American Rangers.
Oh well.
How would you game it?
I've been known for adapting The Sword and the Flame for FIW and AWI skirmish games. I use TSATF 20th anniversary edition.
Rate the Rangers as Egyptians, with carbines as muskets. NOBODY gets rifles. Call the Indians Pathans. Give half of each unit muskets, or carbines. Adjust factors as you wish.
"Uniforms?" Surely you jest. Stay away from AWI Rangers with their brass helmet. Please. Tams and berets. Hunting shirts, short jackets etc.

Let's ignore 🙄 Rogers' massacre. He claimed 200. The French, who had every reason to shame him claimed 30. They didn't realize that they were insulting him. 🙄
He must flee from one end of a Very Long™️ table to another.
Let the pursuing Indians use "hidden movement". Make up rules.

So. The game starts with (the movie! Northwest Passage) when he tries to flee.

Run away! Run away!
You decide if he succeeds in running away. What %?
