I bought these delightful 1806 Prussian figures off eBay but they do not seem to be 20mm as listed, yet are too big to be 15mm. Please, can anyone identify the manufacturer? auction |

I believe they are old Bataillenfeur Games by Hap Jordan. Long out of business. I bought a few of the command figures from him back in the nineties. Old school 20mm. Hope this helps, Tom D |

I'd agree. Not dead sure, but looks right. Last I heard, Chris von Fahnestock had the line, but it wasn't in production. |

IIRC, Chris had them/some in production and would carry them at shows, but I haven't seen a display of them in quite awhile. He is not carrying them to shows anymore. |

Thanks guys, knowing they were Batailenfeur, I found some reviews on Deep Fried Happy Mice, definitely the ones. Such a shame those beautiful ranges are now defunct, so much more life and character than 3D prints. |

Be fair, Billy. I've seen some excellent 3D prints--and some dreadful cast metal figures. There's more to either one than the production method. |

Yeah, say Piano Wargames figs STL files are poor. Little in metal come even close to them. Plus there are others just as good. Thanks. John |

C'mon guys, I wasn't saying all metal figure ranges are better (IMO) than all 3D ranges, and agree some metal figures are "dreadful", again IMO. I took a look at Piano Wargames and I think they are very well produced (not sure what word to use in place of sculpted) but to my eyes they lack animation, and are heavy-set. I know I am in a minority here, but that's my taste in figures. |

Chris von Fannenstock (Outland Games) has the SYW molds and saw some additions he commissioned while in Germany. Really nice stuff but not sure when he will finally get around to releasing them. Metal 20mm SYW are hard to find in the USA.He also has the 25/28mm ranges from Imperialist Enterprises. The WSS and GNW figs are beautiful sculpts. |
