Survived, sometimes thrived, at Historicon from Wedneaday through Sunday, with my daughter. Whatever the tiny gripes, I blame the smoke and the obscene line for Mennonite breakfast sandwiches. link

Nice report. Thanks for taking the time to do this. Looks a little smoky there. Up here in Wisconsin it was so bad that driving visibility was severely limited, and the smell was so bad that outdoor activities were unpleasant at best. Sorry to hear about the Soul Food restaurant. It was one of my "go to" stops at H-Con. |

It was smoky enough to trigger a mild panic when I walked out for breakfast on Thu morning. After nearly losing my house to the California complex fires in 2020, I get jumpy when the air smells like the inside of my fireplace and the daytime sun turns dim and red. Like anyone, I can find Historicon quibbles to gripe about, but the truth is that it's the convention I've been to anywhere. Great con in a great location. 5 stars, would recommend. |
