Or do I have a problem? On my painting table as we speak I have over 20 different projects going, in various stages of progress, in two different scales. Is this "normal" painting behavior? I am beginning to think that I need help. Plus, I have bins, boxes, and drawers with semi-painted figures sitting in them.

No, this is very normal, in my personal experience.

It doesn't hurt to have batches in various stages of completion; in that way, you always have something to work on, that needs to be taken to the next stage. Rotation can help produce more figures more efficiently.

That said, this can also help focus on a particular figure or group to wrap up quickly when you have a sudden need for them, or just want to finish one batch so you can start another.

That might be a bit aggressively diverse. I can have a few different units being painted at once but tend to keep it focused to one current project or two.

I have bins with cleaned & primed figures but none with semi painted units. Those units stay on the painting table until complete.

Very freakin normal. If you're not there yet, they can last for years …..

I only have:
Pirates
1740 English Marines
1757 Spanish in Mexico
Comanche
Zorro
Texas Rangers
Boxer Rebellion Tiger Men
American Revolution
SYW Hungarians
An Ogre (just one! Honest!)
Headless Horsemen. Hessian and a Ghost Rider

🙄😱🍺

Oh, I can go and add more if I want to! Seminoles perhaps?
And of course Sedan Chairs. But they're in the 3-drawer thingies, so technically not on my table.
I just gave away the last of my Flames of War stuff, so nothing from them.
