I originally bought it to make parts for scratchbuilds, tedious things like windows and such. I have since used it to print minis such as some 1/100 planes for a friend link and some 1/72 scale stuff for myself link
Then I spotted some STLs for infantry from the Middle Ages, these were conveniently broken down into kit form with separate arms, heads and weapons. As I already had TONS of spare bits from plastic kits I had assembles I just printed out the torso/leg combinations. I then just glues the spare bits on with normal plastic cement which worked perfectly
