Hi all, a silly question maybe. I am painting up terrain for DAK Attack and I have several groups of oil drums. What colour should I be painting them? |

I paint all my oil drums various shades of grey. I've no idea if that is right or not, but it is consistent and they look like oil drums. |

Generally speaking, the Wehrmacht's oil drums were a light blue/grey colour. However, just as the normally dark green Jerry cans were painted yellow in the desert, some oil drums received a coating of the same yellow as the vehicles. A mix of both would probably be accurate. |

Oil drums being for lubricants, jerricans being for petrol/gasoline I assume. Unless the latter were marked for water of course. Bet there was some Diesel too. Complicated ain't it? |
