I've been inspired by the recent title The Illustrated Campaigns of the French Revolution 1789-1801 by Dr Stephen Summerfield into looking at miniatures suitable for the earlier French versus Spanish campaigns. So I ordered a set of French Revolutionary commanders, In this case REVF47 Generals of Division Desaix, Dumas & Kleber. Unfortunately, I'm annoyed to say that, despite some excess bits of flashing needing to be cut off or filed down, they are beautiful. I'm annoyed because they make me want to buy more. (and there are limited times I can get away with missing paying the rent and bills in order to obtain more) I've also grown an interest in the War in the Vendee and guess what 'mean' Perry's sent me. Images of Vendee Commanders and Cavalry. so that's me evicted! Great miniatures though and I'm looking forward to painting them up, something I haven't felt for some time now. Just hope I can hold off the Rent and bill demands! |
