Funny how one things leads to another. After recently ordering some Perry French Revolutionary miniatures, I've become more interested in the earlier campaigns. I've read and bought quite a bit on the Peninsular period and various battles etc but have read little on the earlier pre-Peninsular campaigns between the French and Spanish. I came across a very interesting article online by Michael C. Hamel, which discussed the campaign of the Rosellon Army, with The Art of War of Revolutionary France by Paddy Griffiths and The Armies of the First French Republic (Vol 3) by Ramsey Phipps noted as part of the source material employed. Those two books on now on my to buy list. I just wondered if anyone had any suggestions for further reading of the early actions and campaigns between Spain and France?
