Are there any good books, besides the volume by rawkins which I have, that cover the hannoverians in this period? |

Depends what you're looking for, organisation, uniforms, combat record, memoirs etc. Aside from the obvious Ospreys, Ompteda's memoir, etc. there's also Nafziger's 'The Armies of Hanover, Brunswick, Hesse-Cassel and the Hanseatic Cities (1792-1815)'. |

Again, depending on interest, Beamish's History of the King's German Legion can help out on personnel. Several officers resigned from the KGL c.1810-1812, returned to Hanover as civilians and then took up Hanoverian commissions in 1813. (Yes, I'm suspicious too. But as with the recent-immigrant ex-soldiers who organized Tory units in the AWI, I can't prove anything.) |
