I am trying to find figures suitable for the army of Nadir Shah (early to mid 1700s). Sadly, with the closing down of Irregular Miniatures the options have narrowed. There are some figures from Khurasan, Minifigs, Museum Miniatures, and Essex that might work. Does anyone know of additional 15mm lines that might work as Persians (e.g. Moghuls, Turks, and Arabs)? Thanks. |

What doesn't the Khurasan range (Safavid Persians, 1501-1736AD) not have that you require? |

The Khurasan figures are very nice. But they are for the Safavid dynasty. Nadir Shah founded the Afsharid dynasty. I have a rare book on the history of the Persian army (I found it online at a bookstore in Paris several years ago). It has color illustrations of uniforms from both dynasties and I would like to find figures that match the illustrations for the Afsharid dynasty. |

Lancashire Games has an Eastern Renaissance range. I don't know if anything there would be of help or not. |

Freikorp 15s (which I sell stateside) likewise have a Renaissance Ottoman range, but not sure if it will work for your needs. If you think they might work from the descriptions I can take some quick snaps. |

I would love to see some photos of the Freikorp 15s Ren Ottoman range, especially any infantry armed with a musket. You can reach me directly at burker1 (at) aol (dot) com. As far as the illustrations go, most of them are online as well as in the book I have. Just search for Safavid Persians, Afsharid Persians, and Nadir Shah. But if anyone wants me to send you the illustrations that I have you can contact me at my email address above. |

I would say Essex 15mm Mughals is your best bet. |
