Nice work. T'was a silly film but it was one of those entertainments that got me into the period. C S Forester's book was much better. |

I agree with you wholeheartedly Artilleryman! Worst historical movie ever! Great book. Maybe one day someone will make a better film of the book; The Gun, by C.S. Forester. It's only an 18 pdr. for heaven's sake; not the Great Gun of Kiev!!!!!!!!! |

The gun may have been an 18pdr in the novel, but in reality it was a 12pdr (the book is based on some true events but pimped up a bit). link |
